In the summer of 2018 the Braehead Clan were rebranded as the Glasgow Clan. Under the Braehead name, the team competed in the 2015-16 Champions Hockey League.
The Clan are Glasgow's only professional ice hockey club. They compete in the British Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), the UK's premier ice hockey league. The Clan play out of the 3,500-seat Braehead Arena, a superb entertainment venue in a stunning location on the banks of the River Clyde.
The club became the inaugural Gardiner Conference Champions in the 2012-13 season. Since the club's formation it has gone increased its home attendance each season with an ever-growing fan base: the Purple Army.
