On Tuesday it's once again time for the four remaining teams to try to earn their spot in the Champions Hockey League Final. But today we can reveal the top five candidates for the NordicBet MVP Trophy, the official CHL award dedicated to the tournament's most valuable player. The jury, with eminent names such as Bo “Kulon” Lennartsson, Vesa Rantanen and Johan Garpenlov, have nominated the candidates, which consist of one player from the Swiss NLA, and two each from the Finnish Liiga and the Swedish Hockey League.
A the beginning of the season there were 48 teams from 12 leagues competing in the CHL. Now only four teams remain – Lukko Rauma, HC Davos, Karpat Oulu and Frolunda Gothenburg. During the Final, on 9 February, the winner of the NordicBet MVP Trophy will be announced at the Final venue. For the second consecutive year, sports betting company NordicBet will present the prize. NordicBet is also an official partner of the CHL.
The five nominees for the NordicBet MVP Trophy:
Andres Ambuehl, F, HC Davos
Artturi Lehkonen, F, Frolunda Gothenburg
Ryan Lasch, F, Frolunda Gothenburg
Sami Aittokallio, G, Karpat Oulu

It's now up to Europe’s hockey enthusiasts to assist the jury in picking a winner, by voting at NordicBet's CHL hub. The voting ends on 7 February.
"What makes this prize so interesting is the fact that it’s the whole of Europe competing. One can argue that the winner is, at least for now, Europe's best hockey player,” says Johan Garpenlov, former NHLer and Swedish hockey legend and now an expert at NordicBet.
The jury consists of Garpenlov, Johan Svensson (aka Mr Madhawk, the biggest hockey blogger in Sweden), Finnish hockey journalist Vesa Rantanen, CHL Sports Director Bo "Kulon" Lennartsson and Magnus Linder, Global Marketing Manager at NordicBet.
