Forward Peter Schneider had a pretty special night on Wednesday in Klagenfurt. The Austrian, who left his homeland for EHC Biel-Bienne in the summer, scored four goals in his side's 6-3 win over the KAC.
"I felt a little bit of the pressure, especially as the final here didn't go my way," said the 28-year-old, talking about the the fact that his Vienna side last season lost the Playoff finals to Klagenfurt, in the very same arena, in game six. "It felt nice to score those goals, but it was a great team effort and I couldn't have done it alone."
The two sides meet again on Game Day 6 in a wild Group A clash. Biel-Bienne lead the Group, but it's still possible for any combination of them, Tappara Tampere and KAC Klagenfurt to make the next round. "I don't think it will be an easy game. Klagenfurt won't give up and will come full force," said Schneider. "Anything is possible still."
