Since we last walked you through the teams qualified for the upcoming season of the Champions Hockey League, three more teams have joined the line-up for 2026/27! Let's see which familiar faces return and which team will make their debut on the European stage come September.
Växjö Lakers
The veterans of eight past seasons of top-level European club ice hockey are back! The Lakers have made the CHL Final before, back in 2018, and have made the Quarter-Finals in both of their last two CHL seasons, so be sure to keep a close eye on them!
Adler Mannheim
A traditional DEL club is the second big name to return ot the Champions Hockey League fold for the upcoming season. The Germans last played in Europe's elite club ice hockey competition in 2023/24, finishing top of the Regular Season Standings to head into the Playoffs as the team to beat, but a disaster Round of 16 series to the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers saw die Adler drop out in the very first Playoffs round. Will 2026/27 be their time to shine?
KooKoo Kouvola
A new name comes to the Champions Hockey League! Finnish side KooKoo Kouvola have had a whirlwind of a Liiga regular season, coming out on top of a close battle for second in the standings to recored their best-ever finish in Finland's top tier. This side will be full of mystery come the start of 2026/27...
