Alongside today's CHL General Assembly, a 'Club Information' meeting was organised for the first time especially for teams that are not shareholders in the league.
With teams now qualifying for the Champions Hockey League only on sporting merits, an increasing number taking part are not CHL Shareholders. Therefore for the first time a special meeting was organised after the General Assembly, to share more information with participating teams about the league and its setup.
Representatives of 12 non-Shareholding teams attended the meeting in Prague, finding out more about specific topics such as Best-practice sharing, Disciplinary & Player Safety, Statistics, Fan Survey Results and the new Sportradar Integrity Partnership.
"This was very useful for us, because apart from the manuals you can actually speak to colleagues from other teams. We're collecting a lot of information, thinking of fresh ideas and how we can involve our fans in this competition as much as possible."Grzegorz Bednarski, President GKS Tychy
The Information Meeting was organised as a follow-up to the three Marketing Workshops already held in Zurich, Stockholm, and Prague over the past few weeks. New activities for fans will be announced shortly, while clubs will also compete on a professional off-ice level to win the 'Marketing Award' start from the 2018-19 season as the CHL tries to promote more 'Best-Practice' sharing among its participating teams.
In general this meeting was very useful and can help us all. There were many people from around the Europe and it's good to see the CHL's point of view. I was really impressed by the statistical part, that's the "hard data". Now it's going to be interesting to talk about it with CHL and inside our club. I was impressed by the fact we scored highest when it comes to atmosphere on the survey!David Trunda, CEO Kometa Brno
