After five Game Days of the 2025/26 CHL Regular Season, the Race for the Playoffs remains highly competitive. With just one round remaining, 15 teams are still mathematically in the battle for the final eight places in the Round of 16. From Zug (9th) to Lausanne (23rd), all these clubs still have a chance to secure their Playoff ticket - depending on the results of the twelve games scheduled for Game Day 6.
Eight teams are already qualified for the Playoffs. Meanwhile, the field between ranks 9 and 23 remains wide open. Six clubs currently sit on seven or eight points. Just behind them, the teams ranked 15th to 23rd are separated by only three points - underlining the competitive balance heading into the knockout stage.
Current Regular Season Standings leaders Ilves Tampere will get the action going when they face reigning CHL Champions ZSC Lions Zurich at 17:30 CEST.

It hasn't been a strong season for the Belfast Giants in the CHL and the EIHL side will end it at home when they welcome already-qualified Swedish side Brynäs IF to The SSE Arena at 20:00 CEST.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more clubs are tied in points during or after the conclusion of the Regular Season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
- Greater number of wins in regulation time (3-point wins)
- Greater number of wins in total (regulation time wins (W) + overtime and shootout wins (OTW))
- Better goal difference (GDF)
- More goals scored (GF)
- Greater number of points in away games (APTS)
- More away goals scored (AGF)
- The higher position in the CHL Draw pot allocation
The tie-breaking formula also applies in the overall accumulated team record. For clarity: In case two teams are still tied after the 6th tie-breaker, the higher position in the CHL Draw pot allocation for the current season will decide the position in the overall standings.
