Now's the final chance for teams to shape the Regular Season Standings and either make the Playoffs altogether or move into a more favourable position in the standings, as six places are up for grabs on the final day of action in the 2025/26 Champions Hockey League Regular season. Here's a full preview of the action!
The Wednesday action will start at 17:30 CEST when KalPa Kuopio welcome KAC Klagenfurt to Finland.
Just half an hour later, GKS Tychy will take on Lukko Rauma with both teams hunting for a place in the Playoffs, and given the fact that the Poles have grinded out some surprise results this season, you should definitely keep one eye on this one!
19:30 CEST will see already-qualified ERC Ingolstadt face Odense Bulldogs, who beat Salzburg on Game Day 5.
At 19:45 CEST, EV Zug will welcome Kometa Brno to Switzerland for a battle between two teams on the brink of making the Top 16 a certainty, but not just yet.
At the same time, fellow countrymen Lausanne HC will take on Mountfield HK in the Vaudoise Aréna, while rounding out the Regular Season will be the clash between Red Bull Salzburg and Eisbären Berlin - two teams that are also not yet confirmed for the Round of 16.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If two or more clubs are tied in points during or after the conclusion of the Regular Season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:
- Greater number of wins in regulation time (3-point wins)
- Greater number of wins in total (regulation time wins (W) + overtime and shootout wins (OTW))
- Better goal difference (GDF)
- More goals scored (GF)
- Greater number of points in away games (APTS)
- More away goals scored (AGF)
- The higher position in the CHL Draw pot allocation
The tie-breaking formula also applies in the overall accumulated team record. For clarity: In case two teams are still tied after the 6th tie-breaker, the higher position in the CHL Draw pot allocation for the current season will decide the position in the overall standings.
