Back in the summer we chose 47 Fan Ambassadors across our 32 teams in this season's Champions Hockey League. Now we're ready to announce the best of them all, who wins a trip to this season's final.

Over the past six months, Fan Ambassadors across Europe have been sharing their CHL Game Day Experiences across social media, showing fans everything that's great about supporting their team in Europe's top hockey competition. The winner of the 'Best Fan Ambassador' competition, and recipient of a trip to this year's final in Växjö, is Mario de Baseggio - fan ambassador of ZSC Lions Zurich.

"Mario epitomised everything we want our Fan Ambassadors to do during the season, both on Game Days and in the build-up," said CHL Communications Manager Monika Reinhard. "He made a special effort to seek out and meet Fan Ambassadors of other teams in Zurich and on the road, was very active across social media channels, and really did his best to promote the experience of following his team in Europe". 

Reacting to his prize, Mario added "I can't believe I've been chosen as the best Fan Ambassador. For me it was an honour to be selected as the Lions' one in the beginning, and I have really enjoyed meeting lots of hockey friends throughout Europe. Of course I'm disappointed ZSC aren't playing in the final, but I'm sure it'll be a great experience nonetheless".
