HC05 Banská Bystrica’s visit to Ambrì-Piotta on Game Day 6 should have been a relatively unnoteworthy game where both teams played out their remaining game. That was until Andrej Štastný pulled a Michigan! It needed a video review to confirm it, but this was a goal that went around the globe pretty quickly!
HPK Hämeenlinna’s Jere Innala was a step ahead of everyone else on Game Day 1 this season. He had everyone thinking that he was going for the cross-crease pass but instead fired into the top corner, fooling literally everyone in Pilsen.
Not a lot of teams can say they’ve beaten Frölunda in Gothenburg in the CHL, but fewer players can say they were part of a win by pulling a great move in. Graz 99ers’ Sebastian Collberg did exactly this on Game Day 1!
Augsburg Panther’s trip to Belfast was notable for their huge fan support, a great game, and this fantastic overtime winner. This isn’t just Matt Fraser’s goal – it’s a team effort to slice through the Giants’ defense before Fraser calmly slots home for the decider.
Adler Mannheim were given a bit of a shock by GKS Tychy on Game Day 2 but managed to win the game in overtime. Veteran Matthias Plachta was the hero that night as he stole the puck and then pulled a reverse move to beat the goalie!
