At the CHL’s ordinary General Assembly on Wednesday in Prague, President Jörgen Lindgren, two Board members and six Committee members were re-elected. Following a review and re-evaluation by the Nomination Committee, the shareholders confirmed all candidates for a three-year term.
The following Board members were re-elected by the shareholders:
- Jörgen Lindgren (SWE), CHL President
- Henrik Bach Nielsen (DEN), IIHF Vice President Europe & Africa and President of the Danish Ice Hockey Association
- Veli-Pekka Marin (FIN), CEO and Co-Founder of Upplause and Vice-Chairman of TPS Turku
The CHL Board is completed by Patrick Lengwiler (SUI) and Miha Butara (SLO). Both were elected for a three-year term at last year's ordinary General Assembly.
Furthermore, the shareholders re-elected six members of the Board Committees (Growth, Sport and Compliance & Regulatory).
Growth Committee: Kristian Gotsch (DEN, re-elected) – other members: Ivan Čonka (CZE), Jon Andrea Schocher (SUI) – the Committee is led by Board member Miha Butara.
Sport Committee: Kim Pedersen (IIHF, re-elected), Jussi Markkanen (FIN, re-elected), Christian Winkler (GER, re-elected) – other members: Viktor Szélig (HUN), Christian Lechtaler (SWE) – the Committee is led by Board Member Patrick Lengwiler.
Compliance & Regulatory Committee: Gernot Tripcke (GER, re-elected), Lennart Ernstson (SWE, re-elected) – other members: Andreas Münch (IIHF) – the Committee is led by Board Member Henrik Bach Nielsen.
To establish a stable new governance structure, rolling elections with different term lengths were introduced last year. Therefore, elections for members appointed to a short one-year term were held again at this General Assembly. The other Board and Committee Members were confirmed for three-year terms and were not up for election this time. The next elections for Board and Committee Members will take place at the ordinary General Assembly in 2027, when the three-year terms of the remaining members will expire. The Nomination Committee will be elected in 2026 again.
