The CHL Final - the highlight of the European club ice hockey season - will take place on 3 March 2026 at the home arena of one of the Finalists. Following a decision by the CHL Board, all potential venues are eligible to host the Final. As a result, the overall point record accumulated throughout the season will determine the host. The points earned by each team during both the Regular Season and the Playoffs will be combined, and the better-ranked Finalist will earn the hosting rights to CHL Final 2026.

The record is determined using the following point system: For games in the Regular Season, 3 points are awarded to the winner after regulation time, 1 point to each team if the game is tied after regulation time, and an additional point to the winner after overtime/shootout. For the Playoffs, the same rules apply. However, overtime and shootouts are considered part of the series and therefore do not entitle a team to an additional point.
If the two Finalists are tied on points, the following tie-breaking rules apply:
- Greater number of wins in regulation time (3-point wins)
- Greater number of wins in total (regulation time wins (W) + overtime and shootout wins (OTW))
- Better goal difference (GDF)
- More goals scored (GF)
- Greater number of points in away games (APTS)
- More away goals scored (AGF)
- The higher position in the 2025/26 CHL Draw pot allocation
The CHL will officially confirm the host city of CHL Final 2026 after the Semi-Finals Return Games.
