It's crunch time in the 2023/24 season of the Champions Hockey League as eight teams enter the final Regular Season Game Day eying the final five places in the Playoffs line-up.
Lukko Rauma will get the second week of October CHL action going when they take on Genève-Servette at 17:30 CEST. Both these clubs may already be qualified for the Playoffs, but both will still be on the hunt for all-important points to help them move into a better position for the knockout bracket.
Färjestad Karlstad will line up against Red Bull Munich in Sweden at 19:00 CEST, as will the Växjö Lakers who will host Playoff-hopefuls the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the Vida Arena at the same time.
ERC Ingolstadt will take on Vítkovice Ridera in Germany at 19:30 CEST. The Czech club finished a single point outside the Playoffs cut-off line on Game Day 5 and will do all they can to secure a spot in the Top 16 in the final Regular Season round.
HC Innsbruck and Skellefteå AIK both qualified for the Playoffs last week so again it's about much-needed points in this game set to start at 19:30 CEST.
EHC Biel-Bienne vs. Tappara Tampere at 19:45 CEST will be one of the games of the round as the reigning CHL and Finnish champions take on a strong Swiss side on their home ice. The winner of this tie will secure a near-sure place in the Playoffs.
Rounding out the first day of Game Day 6 action will be Red Bull Salzburg vs. Lahti Pelicans at 20:20 CEST. The Pelicans were another team that finished just one point outside the Playoffs cut-off line on Game Day 5 and will hope to make it to the next round for the very first time against Salzburg.

Tie-Breaking Rules
As decisive games get closer, here are the following tie-breaking rules to keep in mind: Greater number of wins in regulation time (3-point wins) is the first tie-breaker if two teams have the same number of points, followed by greater number of wins in total, better goal difference and then more goals scored.
Please note that the decisive tie-breakers will only be applied to the final standings once the Regular Season is completed. For the full tie-breaking formula, see the CHL Sport Regulations.
Playoff Seeding
After the last Game Day 6 game, the Regular Season Standings will be finalised and the top 16 teams seeded into the Playoff Tree according to their position in the overall standings. The “ideal bracket” approach will apply, which means the first ranked team will be seeded against the 16th, 2nd vs 15th, 3rd v 14th. etc. No more Playoff Draw needed.
