Ahead of the start of the upcoming Champions Hockey League season, we asked the Head Coaches of Dynamo Pardubice's six Regular Season opponents what their thoughts are on the Czech team - here's what they had to say!
GKS Tychy Head Coach Pekka Tirkkonen: “Pardubice are a strong, offensive team with some top European players, such as Roman Červenka and Lukáš Sedlák.”
Rögle Ängelholm Head Coach Dan Tangnes: “Pardubice are one of the most accomplished and experienced teams in European hockey right now. As the reigning Czech champions, they’ll be a very tough challenge for us.”
Växjö Lakers Head Coach Björn Hellkvist: “Pardubice have a roster with a lot of skill and international experience. They are dangerous in transition and have players who can decide games through individual moments. We need to play with structure, be sharp in the details and win enough battles.”
SaiPa Lappeenranta Head Coach Raimo Helminen: “Pardubice have a really tough team and have some of the best players in the country.”
KooKoo Kouvola Head Coach Jouko Myrrä: “Dynamo Pardubice have many players with NHL experience and are a hard-nosed hockey team.”
Bordeaux Boxers Head Coach Olivier Dimet: “Pardubice are the Czech champions. They are a very talented team, with a lot of depth and international players who are used to playing at the highest level. Having a team like Pardubice coming to Mériadeck will be something special for Bordeaux. For our players, it will be a fantastic opportunity to test themselves against one of the best teams in Europe, and for our supporters, it will be a great night of hockey. We know the challenge will be significant, but we want to learn from this kind of game while also challenging them and making the game as competitive as possible.”
