In the original 2020/21 CHL calendar which was published a couple of months ago, the CHL Group Stage Draw was scheduled for 20 May 2020. This date was chosen so as to have the draw taking place at the IIHF World Championships which has been usual procedure every year under normal circumstances. As many things have changed in the last couple of weeks due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, including cancellation of the IIHF World Championships and the CHL having pushed its start date back a month, the CHL Draw will now be held a little bit later than originally planned. The aim is to hold it in early June. More details will be confirmed in due course.
