The wait is over! CHL Final 2026 is finally here and come this evening, we'll have an epic game behind us and a new European Club Champion.

The 2026 Final between Frölunda Gothenburg and Luleå Hockey is a rematch of the very first CHL Final in the inaugural 2014/15 season. Gothenburg’s Scandinavium will host the CHL Final for the second time, having previously hosted the Final in the 2018/19 season.

Four-time CHL Champions Frölunda Gothenburg have so far delivered an impressive CHL campaign. After a strong Regular Season, they advanced through the Playoffs by eliminating Grenoble, ERC Ingolstadt and Brynäs IF to secure their sixth CHL Final appearance. The Gothenburg side now aim to lift a historic fifth title. In the Semi-Finals, Frölunda held off Brynäs - orchestrating a 2-0 shutout win in the First Game, then closing out the series in a high‑energy Return Game in which Isac Heens struck twice to help secure their spot in the Final.

Luleå Hockey, CHL Champions of the inaugural 2014/15 season, dramatically raised their level in the Playoffs after a ninth-place finish in the Regular Season. Their Playoffs journey included victories over Kometa Brno, top Finnish contenders Ilves Tampere and finally EV Zug in a tightly fought Semi-Final series. This run secured Luleå’s third CHL Final appearance, exactly eleven years after their landmark inaugural triumph. In the decisive Semi-Finals match-up against Zug, Luleå jumped to a 3-0 lead early in the Return Game - an advantage that proved decisive despite Zug’s late push.
