He has been one of the most talked about hockey players in the world this summer, but Jesse Puljujärvi blocked out all the noise on Friday in his CHL return. The young Finnish superstar needed just 2.42 to announce his return in the best possible way.
After signing with Kärpät Oulu recently, Jesse Puljujärvi started on the team’s top line in their 3-1 victory over French side Grenoble. This was Puljujärvi’s first CHL game since the 2015/16 season, and also his debut goal in the competition.
"It was really fun to play again. It's always good to get things like goals for starters. We all should have shot the puck more today. We need to be more determined. It's a bit different to play on a big ice again but I've played on it before so it was quite easy to get back used to it."Jesse Puljujärvi after GD1 win
