Following the Champions Hockey League’s ordinary general assembly on Tuesday, the shareholders have elected one new board member, with eight current members also being re-elected.
Kaarel Lehiste has been elected to the CHL board to represent the Swedish clubs, and succeeds Hakån Loob who has resigned following a three-year term.
Lehiste is part owner and the CEO of a consultant business in real estate, and project construction management, located in the greater Stockholm area. For the last 19 years, he has been on the Board of Directors of Swedish side Djurgården Hockey, acting as chairman of the board for the past nine years.
Additionally, Lehiste is also the Vice President of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL).
The CHL shareholders have also re-elected eight current board members for further three-year-terms.
