Bílí Tygři Liberec made the Champions Hockey League Semi-Finals for the first time this season, and have been led in goals by Slovak Martin Bakoš.
Bakoš is the White Tigers’ LGT Top Scorer, and also third overall in the whole of the CHL with 10 goals and 4 assists in his 9 games – averaging just over 1.5 points per game. The 27-year-old returned to Liberec this season after spending a year in the KHL with Chinese side Kunlun Red Star.
"It's a tremendous honour for me. Actually, I didn't really realise there was a voting for MVP so I was even more surprised to be in it! But I really have to thank my team-mates, because without them I would not have scored those goals. Hockey is a team sport."Martin Bakoš
Bakoš scored the goal that took their Round of 16 game in Gothenburg to overtime, and the winning penalty shot as his side knocked out ZSC Lions Zurich in the Quarter-Finals.
