At this afternoon's Champions Hockey League General Assembly, a new Czech board member was elected.
Petr Syrovatko Jr., Vice-President of Bílí Tygři Liberec, will represent the Czech founding clubs in the CHL Board - taking over the duties from Petr Bříza, who was in office since the launch of the competition in 2014/15. As Bříza was elected in June 2018 on a three-year term, Syrovatko Jr. has taken over for the following two years, until the next election of the entire CHL Board in 2021.
"I am honored to join the CHL Board as the representative of the Czech founding clubs, most importantly, I want to thank the team representatives for their trust in me. The Champions Hockey League is the ultimate competition for all European ice hockey clubs, and as the newest member, there are a great deal of expectations placed on me that I need to fulfill first", Syrovatko Jr. commented on his election.
