How does it work?
As with previous seasons, the matchups will be decided by aggregate scoring over the two games. If there is a tie on aggregate after 60 minutes in the return game, a 10-minute sudden-death overtime period (4-on-4) will be played, followed by a shootout if no goal has been scored. To clarify, football's "away goals" rule does not apply in the CHL.
