With four full rounds of the 2024/25 Regular Season behind us and two do-or-die Game Days coming up fast, join us for a look at which players rank in the Top 5 of our Top Scorer Leaderboard!
1) Michael Špaček
Genève-Servette's new signing Michael Špaček has really shown fans of the reigning CHL Champions what he's all about! After a slower start to the 2024/25 season, the 27-year-old guided the Swiss team to their first win of the season when he scored two against Storhamar Hamar and then added the game-winning shootout strike. With an earlier assist, four points against the Norweigan champions and a goal and two assists against Ilves Tampere on Game Day 4, the Czech forward sits at the very top of the Top Scorer Leaderboard.
2) Oskar Steen
Just like Špaček, Färjestad Karlstad's Oskar Steen sits on eight points in the opening four games of the season. Unlike his counterpart playing in Switzerland, Steen has scored two less goals but made up the difference with two more assists. High-scoring and deadly Färjestad have seen their scoring incredibly spread out, but both of Steen's goals came in the Swedish team's 6-2 win over KAC Klagenfurt. And his assists? Those have come from all over the four games but the forward did pick up three against Fehérvár AV19 on Game Day 3.
3) Joachim Blichfeld
The Växjö Lakers ended Game Day 4 as the third-ranked team in the Regular Season and with seven points in four games, Joachim Blichfeld has been a huge part of their success so far! The 26-year-old ex-NHLer has picked up three goals and four assists in four games, with three of those points coming up in the form of two goals and an assist against Storhamar on Game Day 4. As the Swedes look to seal their Playoffs spot next week, Blichfeld will be the one they look to.
4) Libor Hudáček
Oceláři Třinec's sharpshooter Libor Hudáček is a regular feature on our Top Scorer Leaderboard and he's made the Top 5 after Game Day 4 once again this season! With two goals and a very solid five assists, the experienced 34-year-old has the eye for a goal and a perfect set-up pass in front of net. With Třinec still not confirmed for the Playoffs, he's going to have to put in even more effort in the upcoming rounds!
5) Žiga Jeglič
If you followed Pinguins Bremerhaven in the DEL last season, you saw this one coming from a mile away. With seven points (1G,6A) in four games, Žiga Jeglič slots into spot #5 on our Top Scorer Leaderboard. His eye for a pass and unselfish personality are unparalleled and he's a big threat when left unmarked in front of net as he proved when he assisted each and every goal Bremerhaven scored against the Rouen Dragons last time out in the CHL. Watch out for this 36-year-old Slovenian veteran on Game Days 5 and 6!
Our Top Scorers will have the chance to add to their tallies on Game Days 5 and 6 over the next two weeks! Head here for the full upcoming schedule!
