- Luleå Hockey with a 3-0 lead following the first leg
- 21 save shutout for David Rautio
- SC Bern impressive on the road this season with two wins out of three
Luleå Hockey play host to SC Bern of Switzerland on Tuesday, with the former Champions Hockey League winners sporting a 3-0 advantage from the first leg as they look to progress to the Quarter-Finals, while Bern will look to cause an upset as they travel to Northern Sweden, looking to have another solid performance on the road in this CHL season.
David Rautio stopped all 21 shots he faced in the first leg in net for Luleå, and the Swedish side will be hoping for more of the same defensively, while they also put up three goals through Nils Lundkvist, Robin Kovács and Isac Brännström in the first leg, with those three goals putting them second in the competition for goals for by a team with 29. Luleå are looking to make the Quarter-Finals once again, with their last appearance at that stage coming in the 2015/16 season, where they lost out to eventual champions Frölunda.
SC Bern may not have found the back of the net in the first leg, but they do have players who could change that in the second meeting. Mark Arcobello currently leads them in CHL scoring with three goals and five assists through seven games, with Alain Berger also has three goals to his name. Earlier in the tournament, Bern proved themselves to be a decent team on the road, winning two of their three Group Stage games on opposing ice, with the third game going to a shootout against Skellefteå AIK.
