- HC Pilsen have a tournament high 16 goals coming into Game Day 4
- Rungsted still searching for first points
- MVP nominee from last year Milan Gulaš with nine points already
It’s been a great start to the Champions Hockey League season for HC Pilsen and they’ll look to continue that run on Saturday against Rungsted Seier Capital who are still looking for their first points of the season.
Rungsted returned home on Thursday night to start their homestand, but after failing to get on the score sheet and having five goals put past them by EV Zug, they need improvement against a tough HC Pilsen side. The two sides already met in the Czech Republic last week, with Pilsen taking a commanding 9-3 win with Nikolaj Rosenthal, TJ Moore and Mario Lucia scoring for Rungsted. Lucia currently leads the Danish side with two goals in three games in the CHL so far, while defenseman Willie Raskob has registered two assists so far as well.
After impressing on home ice, HC Pilsen started their road trip with a trip to take on HPK Hämeenlinnan in a closely fought contest that saw Pilsen take a 2-1 overtime victory, thanks to another multi-point night from Milan Gulaš who scored twice, including one 17 seconds into overtime. With nine-points in three games he's continuing his performance that earned him an MVP nomination last year, with six of those points coming in just one game against Rungsted last week. With the teams impressive offensive output they'll be looking to make it four wins in a row, but just their second in regulation to try and stay at the top of Group B.
