- Both teams looking for first points this season
- Danes searching for first CHL win since 2015
- EVZ hoping to end three-game CHL winless run
SønderjyskE Vojens face EV Zug in a game that both sides will need to get something out of to keep their qualification hopes alive.
Both teams were beaten on opening night, and while the Swiss have two home games to come, they can’t afford to be chasing come Game Days 3 and 4. They each go into this fixture looking for their first win in two, counting pre-season.
SønderjyskE skated with Red Bull Munich for some 40 minutes before going down 5-1 to the German side, but with positives from that performance, the team will go out tonight looking for their first CHL home win since beating Red Bull Salzburg in 2015. This is their first meeting with Swiss opposition in three CHL seasons.
For EV Zug, the defeat to Rögle leaves them slightly behind the eight ball in the hunt for one of the top two qualification places. Dan Tangnes will be hoping for more from Leonardo Genoni in net after his goalie was beaten four times on 21 shots in the opening game.
