On the road this week, the ZSC Lions Zurich made a statement 2-0 win over IFK Helsinki. Forwards Dominik Diem and Justin Sigrist inflicted most of the damage for the Swiss side.
Netminder Lukas Flüeler had a sensational performance denying the Finnish side all 38 shots including 6 powerplay attempts. With a save percentage of 96.61, the towering Swiss native is having a strong start to the season.

Frölunda Gothenburg had some early troubles against Czech opponents BK Mladá Boleslav. The Czech side put up the first point of the night and managed a competitive game, but a series of penalties and a deadly Swedish powerplay allowed Frölunda three powerplay goals.
Michael Špaček scored twice for the Swedish side and now leads the team for scoring, while forwards Jan Mursak and Jacob Nilsson also put up singles. Frölunda have won both games against the Czech side, but it hasn't come easy.
