- Rematch of thrilling Game Day 1 meeting
- Comeback by Lausanne secured OT win the first time around
- Lausanne looking to bounce back, Lukko looking to continue winning form
It's a rematch of what was a thrilling Game Day 1 encounter as Lausanne HC kick off their home games in the 2021/22 Champions Hockey League season, as they welcome Lukko Rauma to the Vaudoise Aréna.
In the first meeting, Lukko Rauma led late into the game, but a great spell of five minutes by Lausanne tied the game, before Jason Fuchs was the overtime hero to complete a come back win.
However, after the highs of a brilliant comeback came defeat in their second meeting, falling to a 4-1 loss against the Cardiff Devils with Ken Jäger getting the only goal of the game.
For Lukko Rauma, other than a five minute spell in their opening game of the season, they've been largely impressive. Their opening loss did see them pick up a point for the overtime loss, and they bounced back in a huge way on Game Day 2.
Artttu Ilömaki scored twice, with other goals coming from Sebastian Repo, Vili Saarijärvi and Linus Nyman, as the Finns secured a 5-1 victory ending the day top of Group C, where they'll be hoping to stay following this game.
