- Zug hold top spot in Group B
- Ljubljana in fourth, out of Playoffs
- Last chance for CHL newcomers to snatch a win
EV Zug will welcome fellow Group B club Olimpija Ljubljana to their home arena in Switzerland. These two teams met last week in a game that resulted in the Swiss veterans taking a 3-1 win in the Slovenian capital.
Zug have been experiencing a fantastic 7th CHL season, as they currently hold top spot in Group B with fourteen points, only one point less than the best team of the season so far Luleä hockey. The seasoned Swiss side are also the reigning National League champions, showcasing their talent at home and abroad.
As the first Slovenian club to make it to the CHL, Ljubljana have had a rough debut season. The wildcard club have five consecutive losses behind them, as they hold out in fourth place in Group B with zero points. On the flip side, it's been an amazing first taste of European hockey for the Slovenians and if they play their cards right they could end with a point, or even a win, in their final game of the season!
Will the tide turn in the final chance for Ljubljana to get one on the board, or will the Swiss veterans secure their undefeated status?
