- Zurich have home ice advantage
- Fehérvár have yet to secure a win in their debut CHL season
- Zurich enter with 2 wins/ 1 loss
The ZSC Lions Zurich gear up as they head home to host Fehérvár AV19 for their second face-off in Switzerland. The Lions took the win in their first meeting on the ice with a final score of 7-1. They managed to open the scoring early, getting their first one into the net less than a minute into the opening period and they secured their win by landing three more in the third.
Coming into the second period, Fehérvár had plenty of solid chances to get something going, but came short, with Istvan Terbocs netting the home team’s first and only goal at 15:37.
In a post-game interview, Fehérvár’s Head Coach Kevin Constantine shared these remarks: “I like our team, where we’re at and what we’re trying to work on, there were still a lot of improvements. Zurich is a good team, they beat us, but I liked how we worked.”
The Swiss team's Head Coach Rikard Grönborg also had something to say about his team’s solid win against Fehérvár: “I’m satisfied with the results, we came out pumped; the second period was more their style, back and forth a bit too much, but we put the hammer down in the third.”
Despite the big win for Zurich, let’s not forget about their first performance against Katowice, which resulted in a stunning 2-1 defeat in overtime.
