Adler Mannheim's home win over Třinec two nights ago sees them involved with the Czechs and tonight's opponents in a three-way race to qualify from the group. Whoever wins tonight will be in pole position going into the last two rounds.
"We were happy with the score against Třinec, but we can still play better. We took a step back a bit, luckily we scored goals at good times, and our goalie played really well," said Marcel Goc after the last game. "We have to regroup now, make sure we have our legs again against HV71. They skate really well, play fast, and we have to be tight defensively as we were in Sweden."
