Cracovia haven’t earned a point yet in their two seasons in the CHL, but they came close with a one-goal loss at home to Red Bull Munich on Friday night. On Sunday, their task might be a little bit more difficult against a Brynäs squad that beat them 8-0 in Gävle last week. However, Cracovia’s French national team forward Teddy DaCosta was hopeful after that game that his team would learn from it, and Friday’s result seems to indicate he’s right.
“Against a team like that, you try to play 0-0 for as long as you can, limit your mistakes and see what happens,” DaCosta said. “A game like that is a good learning experience for some of our guys, and when we play them at home it’ll be a new game.”
As for Brynäs, they’ve take 8 of 9 points so far and could clinch a spot in the next round with a win.
“Cracovia didn’t play very well in Sweden but I expect them to be a lot better there at home, so we’ll take it as it comes,” Brynäs coach Roger Melin figures.
