- Rouen have not lost at home in the CHL in regulation time
- Kärpät won both games last week by a combined score of 13-3
- Czech forward Mihal Krištof has hit five goals for the Finns already
Kärpät head to the north of France intending to slay the Dragons once more on their quest to progressing from the Group Stage undefeated.
The Finnish team have lived up to their slogan of being fast, strong and accountable, especially for the 13 goals they’ve scored which make them the tournaments highest. They face a Rouen side that are their exact opposites in respects to putting pucks into the back of the net after only scoring two so far - making them the lowest in the CHL.
A comfortable 4-0 victory in Kärpät’s favour settled the matter between these two sides on Game Day 1. The second matchday only saw the divide in the group grow even further; a 9-3 dismantling of the Ice Tigers cemented the group leader’s dominance whereas Rouen’s 3-2 loss to Mountfield HK left them stranded at the bottom.
The odds will be stacked massively in favour of the visitors, which could work for Rouen if they were to write their own underdog story. The French Champions were also not beaten in regulation time at home when they took part in the CHL last time.
