Group C is one of the groups where all four teams are still alive and nobody has advanced yet. However, JYP Jyväskylä are very close, needing only a single point from the last two games to advance, and Neman Grodno still have slight control over their own destiny in that if they take the maximum 6 points from their two remaining games, they’re in. At the most, they can only drop 1 point from the two games, and in that case, they’d need some help to advance.
JYP were strong in to start the group stage, winning three of four games and continued that momentum into the start of the Liiga season, where they currently sit at the top of the standings after 10 games with eight wins and two losses. Jarkko Immonen lead the team offensively with 12 points in 10 Liiga games, while the team’s Cramo Top Scorer is Juha-Pekka Hytönen with 3 goals and 1 assist in four CHL games so far.
As for Neman, every game they’ve played so far in Group C has been close, with two needing extra time. In the Belarusian Extraliga they sit 3rd after six games. Artyom Levsha leads the team with 8 domestic points and the Cramo Top Scorer is Pavel Boyarchuk with 4 points in the CHL.
