A thoroughly successful road trip saw Kometa Brno return from games in Malmo & Stavanger with the maximum six points. Now with two matches in front of their own fans, a win tonight would have the Czechs with a foot almost in the next round.
"It will be different to the games in Czech Extraliga," said netminder Marek Čiliak of Brno's first ever home game in the CHL. " I think fans will enjoy the battle against KalPa. I'm really looking forward to the support of our fans. Our opponents will see great atmosphere as always here in Brno."
KalPa head coach Sami Kapanen, meanwhile, thought his team was lacking something in the last game against Brno. "We just came into the game a little early, not as well-prepared as we had been against Malmö. We were lagging a bit on the ice, got a little better during the game but still not enough," said the former NHLer.
