- Sides playing to avoid ending Group Stage in last place
- Grodno difficult to beat at home
- Eisbären without an away point in the CHL this season
Neman Grodno welcome the Eisbären Berlin to Belarus as both sides complete their CHL Group Stage campaign. Neither side can advance to the next round, but are playing to avoid finishing last in the group.
Neman go into tonight’s game looking to finish third in their group for the second straight season. Domestically they haven’t had the best of starts compared to last season, but were victorious in their last outing. In front of an always enthusiastic crowd, they’ll be certain to want to end their CHL season with a win though a point will ensure they don’t finish last.
The Eisbären were already eliminated before last week’s 4-1 win over Grodno, but need to win in regulation to avoid finishing last in the group. After three straight DEL wins they were beaten at home to Ingolstadt on Sunday night, and head now to a rink where Adler Mannheim were also beaten last season.
