Vienna’s win last week in the Austrian capital means they travel to Zug with a realistic shot of making the Champions Hockey League playoffs.
For the hosts, they’ll be through so long as the game goes to overtime, but having lost last week the Capitals will believe they can beat their NLA opponents again. "We have to play more aggressively," affirmed EVZ Head Coach Harold Kreis. "We have to skate more, and set the tempo of the game ourselves from the start if we want to make the Last 16."
“We will be ready. Zug will definitely be a different proposition than in the game in Vienna They have a top team, good roster depth, and are playing at home,” commented Head Coach Serge Aubin. “But it’s the same as always- we take care of our own performance, and the rest isn’t something we can influence. I’m of the opinion that when we play like we did last week, we have a realistic chance. It’s down to us to go and get qualification.”
