Playing their first home game in the CHL in two seasons, Klagenfurt again pushed the Frölunda Indians close, as they did in Gothenburg last weekend.
Ryan Lasch got another goal for the Indians with just over 13 minutes played and, a few minutes later, Mats Rosseli-Olsen doubled the lead. The home side, however, got back in the game just before the period was to end, with Marco Richter getting the goal at 19:09.
Carl Grundström and Joel Lundqvist struck to put the visitors 4-1 ahead before the midway point of the next period to give the Indians a commanding lead. Then Stefan Geier again pulled a goal back for the KAC inside the final minute of the period to give them some hope.
Klagenfurt were unable to find a way through in the final period, and a couple of minor penalties towards the end of the game all but killed off their hopes of getting another goal closer.
