Late drama in Gävle saw Red Bull Munich score two goals with their goalie pulled to come from behind and win not only the game, but also Group G.

Brynäs took a first-period lead, with Daniel Paille putting the hosts ahead on the power play at 11:48. Then with 25:54 gone in period two, Aaron Palushaj doubled the lead to give the home side a comfortable-looking cushion. Then started the Red Bulls’ fight back – Mads Christiansen halving the deficit with 29:08 on the board.

It seemed like the one-goal lead would be enough, but Munich had other ideas. With the goalie pulled for a sixth attacker, Frank Mauer tied the game at 57:36. But more was to come – again with six skaters, Max Daubner fired in from the high slot to complete the turnaround with just one second left!
