- Series tied at 3-3 after first leg
- Neither side has ever made the Quarter-Finals
- Neither country has ever had a team go past this stage
One of Red Bull Salzburg and Rouen Dragons will make the Quarter-Finals not only for the first time for themselves, but also for their leagues.
The sides go into this game tied at three each after the first leg, which means it's a straight shootout tonight - whoever wins, in whichever fashion, will advance.
The Red Bulls aren't in the best run of form in their own league heading into this game, and have slipped to fifth in the table. Having won six of seven before the tie in Rouen, the Austrians have now lost three in a row - although they did get a point in a shootout loss in Graz on Sunday. With 21 points in domestic action, Ryan Duncan leads the team with 10+11 in 20 games; while Brant Harris' 3+3 makes him the LGT Top Scorer in the CHL.
Rouen on the other hand have still yet to lose in the Ligue Magnus. The Dragons have won all 17 of their league games so far, scoring 13 and conceding three in the two games since the last CHL game. While Nicholas Deschamps leads the team in the CHL, veteran Marc-André Thinel is the team's leading points man domestically with 5+12 in 17 league games.
Rouen's fans turned up at their training session two days ago to wish their side good luck!
