After a hard-fought win over Cracovia, Red Bull Munich entertain IFK Helsinki who lost in Brynas Friday night. A win would see the Red Bulls go top, while an IFK victory brings them on level scores with their DEL opponents.
“HIFK is going into the season with a new coach. They had a tough season last year, although they reached the semi-finals from the pre-playoff round. The team has been known for certain flair in its game over the years, whether it be skill or toughness or a mix of both," said Head Coach Don Jackson. "We'll look out for a hard fore-checking team and a fast transition game. The Finnish League has been fairly passive at times the last few years but there is a good chance that this will not be the case this time.”
“This is a tough game, as we are also facing the two-time German champions. German teams are always full of experienced and tough competitors and their home crowd seems to give them wing," said Head Coach Ari-Pekka Selin. "We especially look forward to this away game in München. It will be a great experience for our players.”
