From the outset, Group C was predicted to be one of the tightest groups and that has played out, with still a lot to be determined. JYP Jyväskylä have advanced but weren't quite able to lock up 1st place last week – they need one point to do that in Grodno, but that's not automatic against a Neman squad that's always tough to beat at home. EV Zug could still finish 1st, 2nd or 3rd and need a point on home ice against Vienna to assure their place in the next round. As for the Vienna Capitals, it's simple – they need to win in regulation time to advance.

What's at stake:
JYP
- have already qualified.
- will finish 1st with a minimum of an OT/SO loss or anything less than a Zug regulation win.
- will finish 2nd with a regulation loss combined with a Zug regulation win.
- would lose the tiebreaker to Zug due to being outscored 8-6 in the two head-to-head meetings.
Zug
- will qualify with a minimum of an OT/SO loss.
- will finish 1st with a regulation win combined with a JYP regulation loss.
- will finish 2nd if their game vs Vienna is decided in OT/SO, or if they win in regulation and JYP take any points vs Neman.
- would win the tiebreaker vs JYP due to outscoring them 8-6 in the two head-to-head meetings, and would also win the tiebreaker vs Neman by virtue of being tied in head-to-head points and goals, and both games ending 5-4, but Zug won theirs in overtime and Neman in a shootout.
Vienna
- will qualify and finish 2nd with a regulation win.
