These two teams met in Bern on Saturday, with the Swiss team shutting out TPS 4-0. It was the second straight win for Bern and the second straight loss for TPS, making it very important for the Turku squad to get its first points of the competition.
“The level of execution has to be better and we have to score some goals,” TPS head coach Kalle Kaskinen said after watching his team score once in two games. “I thought we had some good moments but Bern is a very good team.”
“It was a good, solid team effort for 60 minutes and I really like how we played both ways - we played really well defensively as a unit and offensively we were strong,” Bern coach Kari Jalonen said after the first meeting with TPS, and he’d obviously like to see more of the same in Turku.
