Rasmus Dahlin’s power-play goal with 6:49 remaining in last week’s game is the difference right now, which gave the Frölunda Indians a 3-2 win last week in Liberec and a one-goal lead on home ice. It also extended Frölunda’s CHL-record winning streak to 15 games. The White Tigers now face the daunting task of needing a one-goal win in Gothenburg just to extend it to overtime. They don’t see that as an impossible thing to accomplish, but they'll need to get their offence going.

“In hockey, one goal is nothing, but our situation is we’ve had a problem scoring,” said Liberec defenceman and captain Martin Ševc. A former SHL player, he said of playing in Gothenburg: “It’s always tough to play there, but that makes it fun also.”

“Liberec is a great hockey team,” said Ryan Lasch, Frölunda's top scorer in both the CHL and SHL. “I think they want to push the pace and play with lots of skill. They have a great transition game and I believe they will play with the same work ethic and speed when they come to Gothenburg. I think it's important that we continue to play our structure and even if we are up one goal we shouldn't change our game plan. When we play our structure and work hard we are a tough team to beat.”

Although the start of their season was not good at all, Liberec have won both games they played since last week, scoring nine goals in the process, so they will be going into Gothenburg with confidence. The Indians, on the other hand, lost both domestic games they played, each by one goal.
