- Ryan Lasch had five points (2G,3A)
- Grenoble at one point trailed by one
- Frölunda stay atop in the standings
A much better effort from Grenoble saw them make it a game against Frölunda Gothenburg, but it wasn't enough as the French fell to the Swedish side for a second time, this time by a 7-4 final. Ryan Lasch had five points on the night (2G, 3A) and Lars Johansson made 12 saves to come away with the win.
Frölunda got off to another fast start - just 1:18 in, Lasch deposited the puck past Raphael Garnier to kick off things at Frölundaborg. The Swedes wouldn't take long to increase their lead as a minute later Joel Ratkovic Berntsson would pot his first of the season.
Good things kept happening for the Swedish side, and especially Lasch, who scored his second of the contest with less than five minutes gone in the period followed closely by Radan Lenc who gave the hosts a 4-0 advantage seven minutes in.
The French finally cut into the lead at 12:15 courtesy of Flavian Dair's first of the season, but the Swedes would regain their four-goal cushion moments later when Nicklas Lasu became the fourth Frölunda player to have his name etched in the goal column with a powerplay tally.
Grenoble got one back to begin the second. Julien Munoz tapped in a feed from Nicolas Deschamps that beat Johansson five hole. Minutes later the French would continue to claw their way back into the game when Dair secured his second off a Brent Aubin assist.
The visitors scored their fourth when Joel Champagne pounced on his own rebound to make it 5-4 at 28:18, but the home side answered right back with their sixth of the night from Filip Johansson a little over two minutes later.
Frölunda would go on to score one more in the final frame, a Jere Innala marker, to seal their 7-4 victory over the French and stay atop the standings.
