- Five different players scored for Kometa
- Odense suffer first loss
- Shot totals were 33-17 in favour of the Czechs
Kometa Brno registered three unanswered goals in the final two periods as they defeated the Odense Bulldogs by a score of 5-2. Five different players scored for the Czech side while Odense experienced their first loss of the 2025/26 Champions Hockey League campaign.
Nearly five minutes into the opening frame, Jakub Zubíček got the home side on the board when he rifled one through traffic that deflected off bodies in front before finding its way past Niklas Lundström.
Odense levelled things at 1-1 16 seconds into their second powerplay when Mason Klee snapped one from the point past Jan Kavan. The Danes cycled the puck along the boards before Jonathan Brinkman Andersen found Klee alone at the top of the point where the defenceman let it go for his first of the season.
Second-period play began with the Czechs reclaiming the lead. Hynek Zohorna received a drop pass from Adam Zbořil before faking a pass in the slot and then wristing it over the glove of Lundström.
The visitors responded not long after when Kevin Karlsson kept play alive by scooping up the puck near the blueline as he glided down the near side and then attempted a pass that would eventually bounce off a defender's skate and up over Kavan.
Kometa would regain the lead for a third time when Šimon Stránský deposited the puck from just outside the crease at 28:40 for his second of the season.
Libor Zábranský extended his club's lead to two goals and then Tomáš Bartejs increased it to three as the Czechs cemented their second win in as many games while Odense fell to 1-1 on the season.
