- Lasch: 3 assists for Frölunda
- Højbjerg: goal for Aalborg
- Frölunda secure Group A win
The Frölunda Indians needed a regulation win to secure top spot in Group A and they accomplished that in convincing fashion, winning 5-1 in Aalborg over the Pirates. Ryan Lasch led the offence with three assists, giving him a tournament-leading 10.
The Indians scored twice in the first and twice in the second to take a 4-0 lead before Mikkel Højbjerg’s powerplay goal got Aalborg on the board in the 32nd minute. Sebastian Stalberg’s third-period goal rounded out the scoring.
That ends Aalborg’s CHL run in front of their home fans. They managed three points in Group A, but were no match for Frölunda these last two games.
