- Tomáš Zigo 2+1 for Banská Bystrica
- Hofmann & Lajunen with goals for Lugano
- Faille & Asselin with two points each for Banská Bystrica
HC05 Banská Bystrica capped a miserable week on the road for HC Lugano with a 5-2 win for the Slovak champions
Guillaume Asselin got the ball rolling with a fantastic back-handed wrist shot at 16:01, and although Gregory Hofmann tied things up with a penalty shot 18 seconds into the middle period, Tomáš Zigo had Bystricá back ahead just four minutes later. With 26:49 gone the hosts were 3-1 up thanks to Ben Marshall, though Jani Lajunen pulled one back for the visitors just under two minutes later. Éric Faille's converted penalty shot before the period was over gave the Slovaks the cushion they needed.
Zigo got his second of the game with 49 minutes played and that was as far as the scoring went. Bystricá bounced back from the 6-1 defeat to JYP in superb style, while for Lugano their home games next week are now 'must win' if they want to stay alive.
