SC Bern ended their two-game road trip with an overtime win over Kärpät Oulu.
The Finnish side got off to the best possible start at home, Michael Krištof opening the scoring just 19 seconds into the game in front of 4,531 fans. When Otto Karvinen then doubles that lead five minutes before the first period was over, Kärpät looked to be in a solid position.
Gregory Sciaroni got Bern back into the game at 24:08, but the visitors couldn't force an equaliser until the third period - Matthias Bieber the man to the rescue 15 minutes from the end. With no winner in 60 minutes the game went into overtime, where Mark Arcobello was the hero to give Bern the extra point.
