Eisbären Berlin failed to take a win in their second consecutive game of the 2026/27 Champions Hockey League season, with Swiss hosts HC Davos scoring eight by eight different players to win the game in style.

Davos scored three goals in the first period, with Enzo Corvi opening the tab for the hosts with an equal-strength goal. Shortly after, Valentin Nussbaumer doubled the lead off a pass from Filip Zadina.

Right in the middle of the first frame, the hosts faced a minor setback when Brendan Lemieux was sent to the penalty box for high-sticking, though Berlin did not make use of the chance. On the contrary, Lemieux fresh out of the penalty box scored their third goal, also with the help of an omnipresent Zadina, giving Davos a further lead.

In the second period, Davos just couldn’t help themselves and continued their scoring strike. Operating with a man advantage, Davos struck when Adam Tambellini found the back of the net and stretched the goalie, making it 4-0. Adding to their momentum just a minute later, Simon Ryfors capitalized during a 5-on-3 powerplay adding another goal. Nevertheless, with just 15 seconds remaining on a powerplay, Berlin finally broke through, when Leonhard Pföderl scored giving them just their third goal of the season. However, right before the second period buzzer sounded, Davos rounded out the scoring with goal number six.

Ahead of the final frame, Berlin made a goaltending change, bringing in a fresh face to guard the net. Pföderl continued with his scoring form into the final frame, cashing in on the powerplay to net his second goal of the game. However, the host weren’t yet finished in the third period, stretching their lead further as Guus van der Kaaij made use of the powerplay before Nico Gross chipped in with an even-strength goal, sealing the 8-2 victory for Davos.
