A late scare by Fehérvár AV19 almost put Färjestad Karlstad's perfect season in jeopardy, but a quick answer by August Tornberg helped cement the Swedes' third straight victory as they took the game 3-1.

The opening 20 minutes saw Färjestad testing Fehérvár netminder Dominik Horváth often, but the backstop played well as there was nothing to separate the two teams despite the Swedes leading 14-7 in shots following the first stanza.

The visitors continued their aggressive play into the second period with Fehérvár generating some chances of their own, but the netminders continued their perfect play with the sides still even at 0-0. Färjestad were awarded the only powerplay of the period, but the Hungarians' penalty kill was up to the task.

Following two periods with no goals, it was Färjestad breaking through on a tally by Stian Solberg. The defenceman received a pass from Viktor Lodin before powering his way towards the net and sliding it home to make it 1-0 a minute and a half in.

The Swedes secured their second on a follow-up play in close. Marcus Westfält was the recipient of a loose puck in the crease after Oskar Steen's initial shot bounced off the netminder leaving Westfält with an open net that he used to his advantage to extend his club's lead to two.

Late in the period, however, Fehérvár would be given some life when Christopher Brown secured his first of the season off the rush. But this would be the only bright spot in an otherwise dominant performance by the Swedes as the Hungarians would see their deficit increase once again when Tornberg netted his team's third at 57:56 of the game to help Färjestad stay undefeated.
