Genève-Servette kept their Playoff hopes alive, taking down Fehérvár AV19 by a 5-2 final to secure three points and end the Regular Season with ten points. Josh Jooris scored the game-winner and newcomer Antti Raanta made 24 saves on 26 shots in his Champions Hockey League debut.

Immediately off the face-off, Fehérvár's István Terbócs buried it stick-side to give the hosts the early advantage a little over a minute into the contest. Rasmus Kulmala won the puck back to Terbócs who skated towards the slot and fired it past Genève's Raanta to make it 1-0.

The Hungarians had a chance to extend their lead on a 5-on-3 man advantage, but Genève's top penalty kill continued its excellent play frustrating the home side's progress through the neutral zone and congesting lanes to deny Fehérvár their second tally.

After 20 minutes, the stat sheet read identical in the shot department between the two clubs with the Swiss and the Hungarians both firing seven shots on net, with the hosts still leading by one.

Puck dropped in the second period with Genève's powerplay making its debut to great success as Michael Špaček netted his club's equaliser with a one-timer from the far circle. Sami Vatanen faked a shot from the top of the slot before finding the Czech forward for his fifth tally of the campaign.

The visitors would go on to take the lead for the first time on the night when Simon Le Coultre scored with less than a minute remaining in the middle stanza. Sakari Manninen started the play from behind his own net as he rimmed the puck around the boards that found the stick of Le Coultre who skated in on a partial breakaway and slid it through the wickets of Dominik Horváth.

Then just 18 seconds into the final frame, it was the Swiss side securing their third of the night off Jooris's fourth of the tournament. Jooris skated to the top of the crease where he redirected the puck to make it 3-1.

Genève increased the goal deficit to three when they registered their fourth unanswered goal courtesy of an Alessio Bertaggia tip-in off a point shot from Giancarlo Chanton.

Fehérvár continued to battle back and would eventually cut into the Swiss side's lead with their own powerplay tally from Anže Kuralt. Moments later, the Hungarians thought they had secured their third of the game but a call of goaltender interference was made negating it.

Following Kuralt's tally, the hosts were unable to challenge Genève's lead for a third time as the visitors would go on to bury their fifth of the night with Marco Miranda securing the empty-netter to seal the victory for the Swiss side.
